This past summer, Feedvisor, together with Web Retailer, carried out a marketplace sellers survey and released 10 statistics about online marketplace sellers. The stats include information about the most popular marketplaces, the most in-demand product categories for sellers, and what sort of profit margins sellers are making.

Now the crew at Web Retailer have done it again and produced a report on the world’s top 1000 Amazon sellers. So if you’re a statistics junkie and curious to know which sellers make the most sales, and which Amazon marketplaces these sellers operate in, check out the report here.

The report offers a general list of the top 1000 sellers, while also providing separate lists of the top sellers in each Amazon marketplace.

The top three marketplaces are Amazon US with 538 of the top 1000 sellers; Amazon UK with 237 sellers; and Amazon Germany with 121 of the high-volume sellers. There’s also a prominent presence of Japanese sellers (or those who sell on Amazon Japan) on the list too.

While perhaps not surprising that Amazon.com sellers dominate the top 1000 places, it’s interesting to note that the top five places are filled by sellers from five individual marketplaces. For the full report, click here.

Watch this space for future geeky reports and equally-nerdy survey results!
