What is your name and position at Feedvisor?

My name is Allye Glicker, and I am the sales development manager at Feedvisor.

Tell us a bit more about your position. What does it entail?

I manage a team of sales development representatives here at Feedvisor. There are about 10 of us who work on top-of-the-funnel sales. That means we focus on prospecting and qualifying clients, and essentially prioritize generating new business for the account executives here.

What were you doing before you joined Feedvisor six months ago?

I was an inbound sales development representative manager overseeing a team that only handled inbound leads and prospects for a data intelligence platform.

What made you want to join Feedvisor?

The product, the people, the culture, and the opportunity for growth. There is a huge amount of growth potential at this company. Knowing that Feedvisor was just opening its New York headquarters and was looking to build out a sales team from scratch made this an incredibly attractive place.

What do you enjoy about the product in particular?

I really enjoy selling this product. It’s one of the reasons why I decided to join Feedvisor. The product is well-made and well-maintained, and it’s also necessary for our customers. Our product is not something that is a nice-to-have for our prospects. It is a need-to-have. Feedvisor’s product is something that everyone who is selling on Amazon should have in their arsenal of tools.

Let’s talk about sales a little more specifically. How is the sales environment at Feedvisor different from other places?

The main difference is the speed with which we work. We’ve worked hard to remove barriers and create focus around getting things done very quickly. We work smart and hard. Things get done in an incredibly timely fashion. Everybody works together in a collaborative environment, it’s not just a one player sales team.

Can you describe the growth that is happening on the sales team?

Our growth is, in a word, explosive. When I joined, we were just a small team of about seven people, and we are looking towards being closer to 25 by the end of the year. We’re bringing on a lot of people: top-of-the-funnel sales reps, full-cycle sales reps, and all of the positions in between.

What are some of the top attributes you look for in new sales reps?

We looks for a sense of creativity, a sense of agility. Somebody who is able to build the airplane while flying it, so to speak. Somebody who isn’t afraid of a challenge and isn’t afraid of taking control of his or her career.

The ideal candidate for Feedvisor is someone who is interested in growing very quickly, and someone who is interested in being able to express their creativity in their job.

What is it like working with the leadership at Feedvisor?

Working with the leadership here is amazing. Everyone is super open to hearing your thoughts and ideas, no matter how far-flung they are. We have an incredibly supportive management team for the sales environment, and it allows people to become creative sellers and to really take ownership of their position.

Also, mentorship here happens naturally and is really important. Having a mentor at Feedvisor means that you not only have an ally in your growth and development, but you have somebody who is there for you when you’re dealing with any kind of tricky situation.

How would you describe the culture here?

Feedvisor is really collaborative, really group focused. Everything we do, we do in teams… whether that is working on projects, or also just great happy hours. We have a skee-ball team, so we go out once a week and play skee-ball. I didn’t know skee-ball was competitive before coming to Feedvisor. [laughs]

What is your favorite Feedvisor memory?

Oh my gosh, I have so many. Actually, my favorite Feedvisor memory was my very first day here. I was brought on right when we were moving into this office, and they asked if I would attend the new office opening party before even starting. I walked in not knowing anybody, and I was just greeted with so many smiles, a lot of hugs, and a lot of handshakes. Seeing that everybody was really excited to bring me on board made me feel so welcome before even my first day there.

What is a way that you’ve grown since being at Feedvisor?

I’ve really grown in my ability to be agile. I can take ownership of my work and make sure that what I want to get done happens quickly through teamwork and collaboration. I’ve never really had that opportunity before.
